Yep, It Snowed Alright

What always amazes me about snowstorms is how nobody ever learns. Right now, Scratch and I are relaxing after some heavy duty gate-freeing, lock-de-icing, and yes, shoveling.

The president of our very small condo association asked Scratch if he knew how to shovel snow. We were a little perturbed by that. While I understand that it is our first winter in this building, we are, in fact, functioning adult members of society. Unfortunately, when presented with that type of attitude I will go out of my way to make sure that person can never, EVER have anything on me. So yes, I went out at 6:30 this morning to shovel the front walk. Because someday, I will be able to pull that out. "Oh yeah? Like when I was shoveling the walk at 6:30 AM? Like that?" Someday.

I am really glad that it did not snow on Wednesday night, when I went to Borders to see Amy Sedaris plug her new entertaining book. It is hilarious. She makes me happy. Go buy her book or something!

In other news, I am super happy that it is the weekend! Wow! I can go grocery shopping, do laundry, and probably sweep, mop, and dust. Awesome! Have a great weekend!

Make her cheeseball! This minute! It is so delicious! (It will make you use exclamation points for all of your grammatical needs, it is that good!)

Amy Sedaris' Cheese Ball Recipe
2 8 oz. packages cream cheese
2 cups shredded smoked Gouda
1 stick butter (Amy uses unsalted for everything)
2 tbsp. milk, cream, or half-and-half
2 tsp. A-l steak sauce
2 cups crushed nuts, any variety (Amy likes walnuts)
crackers for serving

Allow ingredients to soften to room temperature.
Beat them all together in a mixing bowl and form into a ball, or form
into several small balls to suit your function/needs. Roll in crushed
nuts and refrigerate. Remove from refrigerator and allow to soften
about 20 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers of your choice.
